I read this book five years ago and then again this year when I saw some kind of aversion develop in my kids towards milk. It was very handy. It helped me understand a lot of concepts and provided a good approach to tackle the problem. I rate the impact of this book on me 4 out of 5. What was missing for me, though it did not have to be in this book, was more about nursing strike. At first I thought that nursing strike and feeding aversion are the same. But, they are different, and there can be slightly different solutions to them. 5 years ago, I applied this book's principles to nursing strike too and it helped, this year I realized the difference and applied some other approaches apart from this book's tips.
