Book Review: 1/5 Impact On Me (Book By Satchin Panda)

The impact of this book on me was 1 out of 5 because it provided very little new or actionable information. This is not a rating of the book but about its impact on me.

Its sleep advice overlaps with what I have already read in The Night School by Richard Wiseman and Sleep Smarter by Shawn Stevenson. The food advice also repeats ideas from other food and wellness books I've explored.

I already understand the benefits of intermittent fasting, but I also know its limitations from reading other wellness books, including Outlive by Peter Attia. I've decided not to adopt intermittent fasting, but I will follow the book's recommendation to finish my last meal 4 hours before sleeping. I will also avoid snacking after dinner until breakfast.

Another takeaway for me was the importance of sitting closer to a window during lunch to get more sunlight. I plan to apply this when working from home or in outdoor spaces where I can control my seating.

I recognize the importance of sunlight, maintaining a consistent sleep schedule, doing some exercise, and avoiding prolonged wakeful periods to achieve good sleep and overall health. These are habits I am already familiar with, but the book served as a reminder to stay consistent.
