Webpage, Images, Calendar Invitation, And Flyers Using ChatGPT, Wix, And More

I used AI to build parts of a birthday invitation for my son’s 2025 birthday, including a website and Ghibli-style portraits. I also applied product principles to design a clear user journey, focusing on what information parents need and in what order. Here’s what I created.

I spent 40 minutes writing this and a few hours making the party invitations. You need 1 minutes to read this.

User Journey

The user journey of a parent:

  • Receive invitation: Parents get a flyer with a QR code from their child at daycare or school.

  • View QR code: They open the flyer and see basic event details and the QR code.

  • Check date and time: Since RSVP depends on the event schedule, I placed the date and time first on both the flyer and the webpage.

  • RSVP via WhatsApp: If the time works, parents message one of the hosts to RSVP. Because communication happens on WhatsApp, I added a wa.me link and also listed the phone number for those who prefer not to click links.

  • Confirm attendance details: While messaging, parents confirm which children can attend, note dietary needs, and plan gifts.

  • Add to calendar: After RSVPing, parents need to add the event to their Google or iOS Calendar. I added a button to save a pre-configured calendar event with all details.

  • Navigate on event day: On the day of the party, parents can open the calendar invite or visit the website to access the location and a navigation button.

Invitation Flyer

Using pictures from the 3 birthday kids’ families, I removed the background, then converted them to Ghibli Studio style. I added a QR code using Google Chrome.

Webpage

On my personal website, I made a hidden page for the birthday party. I followed the Minto pyramid to decide the Information hierarchy:

  • Date and time (most important)

  • Contact person

  • Calendar reminder

  • Directions to the location (least important)

Calendar Invite

I was concerned that people might forget to share their dietary requirements or whether gifts are required or not, so I added that information and then contact information in the calendar invite.
